Cohiba Selección 50 Aniversario Travel Humidor
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their flagship brand, Habanos released a special Cohiba travel humidor containing four of its most iconic cigars. The half century mark for the brand included many special and limited edition releases by Habanos, many of which required a substantial investment. I am referring to the humidor that was auctioned off at the Habanos festival closing gala, and of course the mighty Majestuosos humidor release. In this case, although it is not inexpensive, it offers the opportunity for a true aficionado of Cohiba to add to their collection a piece that is attractive and can be used. It also includes the Behike 56, which as you probably already know, have not been the easiest to find of late.
A limited quantity of 10,000 units were released. At the time of this writing, it sells for approximately $1000 USD.
Here are the details. Each humidor comes with 2 of the following Cohiba cigars for a total of 8 cigars.
Cohiba Piramides Extra. 54 x 6.3 inches. From the Classic line.
Cohiba Siglo VI. 52 x 5.9 inches. From the 1492 line.
Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios. 52 x 5.5 inches. From the Maduro 5 line.
Cohiba Behike 56. 56 x 6.1 inches. From the Behike line.

As for the actual cigars, all signs point to the fact that these are regular production Cohiba cigars, using the same blend as they contain in their respective productions. It can be a fun way of comparing them.
THE HUMIDOR
The travel humidor itself is an attractive and sleek looking piece. It comes in the same type of black cardboard box and black velvet cloth wrap that the Cohiba Behike cigars come in. As you open all the packaging, the actual travel humidor is a rectangular leather case with rounded and sloped edges. It comes with a hygrometer and temperature gauge, of which I have not used, nor intend to. To the dear folks at Habanos – we don’t use these unreliable instruments you include with all your limited edition humidors. Please either use higher quality pieces (ie: Adorini hair hygrometers), or just eliminate them altogether. The travel humidor, when equipped with a small Boveda can come in handy when packing cigars for a trip. It’s not huge, but it can easily hold your stash for the coming days (or hours?!), and it can hold bigger and smaller sizes.
