As many of our readers and newsletter subscribers have noticed, we added an online shop to our magazine recently. I want to personally thank all of you that have made purchases and helped encourage our writing team. We truly enjoy writing these articles and are honored to hear your comments and know that our audience continues to grow.
The shop’s inception came from various turning points in the last year. For one, La Casa Del Habano Montreal for which I ran was closed by the brass at corporate. Aside from selling cigars, one of the joys of running an exclusive shop was seeing first hand some of the really cool gadgets and gear that came out into the market. I started to really miss that. With FourteenNinetyTwo.com, it gives us the chance to offer products that we all enjoy.
The shop specialty and focus, is on 4 specific categories. Cigar Accessories, Watches, Pens, and Grooming products. We chose these 4 as they are items that myself and my team have a certain passion and expertise in. At the moment, we ship to USA and Canada, and upon special request to the rest of the world.

All of the items that we offer, except for the Rare Finds sections, are direct from the manufacturer and/or official distributor. We took great lengths to ensure that we were certified as an authorized dealer, as we wanted to be able to offer our clients security and peace of mind when making their purchases. I realize that shopping online often leads to Amazon. We are not against Amazon. However, when making a shopping purchase, consider what the shops and sites offer you as a whole. For example, there are great sites out there that offer wonderful editorial. Why not show them a hand of support when you are looking for something they offer? I am not only referring to our magazine and shop, but amazing sites like www.Hodinkee.com, www.uncrate.com to name a few. The shops that include magazines use the profits of the sales to help pay for the editorial we enjoy, most of the time, for free.

We love Watches
One of my passions is watches. And so, I thought it would be fun if we added a cool watch section. We are very privileged to count some highly recognized and prestigious brands in our catalog. The first is the legendary Swiss watchmaker “Mondaine”. Their history is so interesting that we already started working on an article on the brand as we feel our readers would enjoy to learn more about the Swiss company. Also from Switzerland is Maurice Lacroix, which since the 1960s has been producing top notch quality timepieces.

Grooming Products & Writing Instruments
As times have led to tablets, gadgets, smart phones and many apps, there are some things that have an old school, artful way about them. One of them is the art of shaving and grooming. Taking the time to have a proper hot towel shaving experience is very rewarding after all the hours we put into life and work. Writing is something that people are doing more and more of, but many times, less and less with a pen. As soon as we put up our writing instruments section, we noticed that in fact we were not alone in using the traditional method. They are several amongst us that still enjoy the feeling of writing on paper, and nothing says special like signing a new contract with a proper fountain pen! Rare Finds
Having served clients first hand for the better part of a decade, one of the aspects I noticed is that offering a client something that they cannot easily find, something that is one of a kind, is special. As we come across items that we find are interesting, we will pop them up to the rare find section for you to browse through. Many of these were purchased from closing businesses, or from private collections. As we were digging through, we found a signed original photograph of the Cuban cigar legend Don Alejandro Robaina. We also are offering some amazing art from Canada’s famous automotive artist Alain Levesque. Be sure to take a look at the sections over time as we plan on adding many items there as we find them.
