New cigars by Habanos are slow these days to come out of Havana. Word has it that they sometimes have the cigars, but not the packaging, or they have the cigars, but there are delays in the distribution channels. Whatever the case, we are now slowly seeing the Partagas 2020 Limited Edition “Legados”. Boxes of these started hitting the shops in early to mid 2022. We got our hands on one and wanted to share photos and notes with you. “Legados” by the way means “Legacies”. In fact, Partagas has quite a legacy indeed.

FACTORY NAME: Hermosos No. 2
As far as the size goes, it is the exact same size as the Quai D’Orsay Limited Edition 2019 “Senadores”. In total, there were only 4 other Habanos cigars released with this size. They are:

The cigars come in a 25 box, with an outer plain cardboard box, and a beautiful brown wooden box. It is unlike any other cigar box I’ve seen and makes for a nice presentation. The cigars themselves in this box were all oily, and seemed perfectly rolled.
Many of the limited edition cigars released in previous years had the exact same comment from friends and clients. “The cigars are too young”. In this case, seeing as this was a 2020 release, we should not have that negative characteristic, and judging from the aromas, these look ready!
