BLACKENED by Drew Estate & Metallica

The collaboration between Metallica and Master Distiller Rob Dietrich has already produced Blackened Whiskey.   The popular and intriguing blend of North American bourbon and rye whiskies finished in charred brandy casks.  The casks are then caressed with the sweet sounds of Metallica’s music played at ear shattering levels (as it should be) so the vibrations allow the whiskey to penetrate deeper into the wood thus extracting more of the flavours.

James Hetfield, Metallica’s lead singer/guitarist and Rob have become friends who enjoy having a cigar together and they decided to put their fertile imaginations to use once again to come up with a new cigar – BLACKENED M81 by Drew Estate.

The heavy metal band was formed in 1981, hence the “M81” name.  This cigar is a blend in the truest sense: The all-maduro vitola marries a thick and oily wrapper from the rich volcanic soil of Mexico; binder of Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf and a filler blended of ligero tobaccos from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro from Drew Estate’s massive inventory.

Showing flavours of espresso, cinnamon, dark chocolate and leather (of course!), these full-bodied sticks are available in boxes of 20 in 4 sizes: a Corona Doble (7×50), Toro (6×52), Robusto (5×50) and a Corona (5×43).

Fans of rich, full-bodied smokes will surely make room in their humidors for these new hard rockin’ cigars.
