On May 31, 2016, 3 Habanos Academy Junior Courses was held for the Vancouver Duty Free employees at the Vancouver International Airport.  The duty free shops in this airport are widely considered amongst the most prestigious in the world, with its’ wide and rare collection of single malt whiskey, rare cognacs, and a well-stocked walk in humidor containing Habanos cigars.

The course was conducted by Antonio Marsillo, manager of La Casa Del Habano Montreal and graduate of the Habanos Academy Master Course on behalf of Havana House Cigar & Tobacco.

Mr. Marsillo also explained why Cuban cigars are considered the best in the world among cigar enthusiasts.  The training touched on the various steps in making a cigar,  including the explanation of various steps in the construction of the cigar, starting from the seedlings in the Region of Pinar Del Río (D.O.P.) to the Factories in Habana. Part of the training included, how to best preserve cigars while travelling, and also how to serve the various clients’ tastes and needs.
